Held initial meeting and tried boccia
In preparation for the operation of the English version of our website, we held an initial meeting with foreigners living in Saga Prefecture. At the meeting we shared each country’s views on sports.
In addition, after the meeting the participants tried boccia, which is an official sport of the National Sports Festival for People with a Disability. In boccia everyone can compete together regardless of age, gender, or disability. Players compete to see how close they can get to a white ball called the “jack ball” (the target ball) by throwing or rolling six red and six blue balls and hitting other balls with them.
The SAGA2024 boccia competition will be held at U-spo (Ureshino Central Gymnasium) in Ureshino City from October 26th to 27th , 2024.
